Flourish began in a San Francisco backyard in 2011.
At the time, Brandi Chalker was co-owner of Urban Bazaar, a Fair Trade gift boutique in San Francisco’s Inner Sunset. A growing succulent obsession led to a tiny backyard nursery, handmade terrariums and, eventually, one very important question from her clients:
“Will you teach us how to make these?”
She said yes!
That yes became Flourish.

There’s something about making with your hands that changes people. Fully grown adults become curious kids again, experimenting, creating and getting excited about what they’ve made.
That’s still Brandi’s favourite part.

Flourish has created experiences for teams including Meta and Google and led workshops at beloved Bay Area institutions including the Conservatory of Flowers, San Francisco Botanical Garden and California Academy of Sciences.
